Tilghman Hemsley, Captain

Captain Tilghman Hemsley has been working the waters of the Chesapeake Bay for over 30 years.  He started out on the Breezin’ Thru as a mate for the legendary Captain Harry Carter, who commissioned the vessel in the 1940’s. Tilghman took over ownership of the vessel in the 1990’s and has continued the tradition of excellence set by Captain Carter.

In addition to running the charter boat, Tilghman happens to be a successful fine artist, specializing in oil painting and bronze sculpture.  His Maryland Waterman’s Monument is located at historic Kent Narrow’s on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
